TUITION AND REGISTRATION FEES
Call the administrative office for tuition costs.
Tuition is due on the first day of school and the first day of each month following for a total of ten (10) months in the school year. Tuition will be considered past due, if not received by the 7th day of the month. A late fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any past due tuition payments.
A 10% discount will be given for tuition if the entire year is paid in full by the first day of the school year. A 5% discount will be given for tuition paid in full for each semester in advance.

topMultiple Child Discount
A 10% tuition discount will be give to the second and subsequent children if the first child’s tuition is paid in full and current. If any of the tuition payments are late the discount is voided and late fees will apply. There is not multiple discount for Kindergarten.
topFINANCIAL POLICIES
The Killeen Seventh-day Adventist church feels Christian education is of utmost importance, therefore has made the commitment of financial support via a subsidized budget.
topPurpose
It is the intent of Killeen Adventist Junior Academy (KAJA) to be a financially sound institution. All attempts will be made to work with any family in order to resolve any past due balances for tuition or registration fees. It will be the responsibility of the school treasurer, school principal, and the school board to work together in minimizing the dollar amount of all student receivables.
topBilling Procedures
Prior to enrolling for the school year, the first month’s tuition, registration fees and any other applicable fees are due in full.
Monthly charges are due and payable on the first of each month. A late fee may be assessed if payments are not received by the 15th of the month.
Accounts must be kept current. Students whose accounts are more than 60 days delinquent will be suspended from classes. Students with unpaid accounts will not be permitted to take semester exams, receive grades or transcripts and may be ineligible to participate in any school sponsored activities, i.e. field trips, overnight trips, etc.
Cash or money orders may be required as payment on delinquent accounts. Students with a history of delinquency may be required to pay in advance.
Students graduating from the 8th grade may not participate in graduation services; receive a diploma or final grades until the account is paid in full. A delinquent account for any family member will affect all family members.
Checks returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSF) will be subject to a service charge of $30.00. A history of returned checks may result in a request that payments be made in cash or money order. Returned checks will automatically be re-deposited for a second attempt without notification to the party writing the check.
Two party checks and post-dated checks will not be accepted.
topNon-Constituent Patrons
Killeen Adventist Junior Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist school and is supported by members of the Killeen Seventh-day Adventist Church. Therefore, student and/or families who are not members of the Killeen Seventh-day Adventist Church are charged the non-constituent rate.
topRegistration fees
Registration fees are due prior to enrollment. A registration fee for each student is due regardless of church affiliation or grade level. Registration fees are used to cover the cost of: textbooks, workbooks, instructional supplies, yearbook fees and library fees.
topWithdrawal/Refunds
Students who withdraw and have turned in notification in writing to the principal on or before the 15th of the month, will have their tuition charges prorated through the day of their withdrawal. Students who withdraw after the 15th of the month will have their tuition charges prorated through the last school day of the month. No refund will be given for late registration, extended absences or vacation periods.

There may be additional charges for field trips and extra-curricular activities. Prices vary according to the activity.
topTuition Aid
Limited Tuition Assistance may be available for qualified students through the KAJA Worthy Student Fund. PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO MEMBERS OF THE KILLEEN SDA CHURCH. PRIORITY IS ALSO GIVEN TO STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES 1 AND ABOVE.
Moneys in this fund are from individual or corporate sponsorship. Moneys in this fund CANNOT be donated with an individual students name. Funds will be disbursed based on the availability of moneys. The KAJA worthy student committee will meet to review each application prior to acceptance. Objective financial data should be made available upon request including: tax returns (1040s) pay stubs, monthly income/expenditure statements etc.
Financial Aid applications are available in the School Office. Additional information may be required to establish financial eligibility. Financial Aid applications are due prior to registration date.
topFamily Tuition Discounts
The oldest child is considered the first child for purposes of calculating family discounts, and no discount is given to this first child. When two or more are enrolled, the following discounts will apply to REGISTRATION FEES:
- The second child gets $100 discount.
- The third child gets $200 discount.
- The fourth child gets $300 discount.
Statement of Financial Responsibility
Each student is accepted at KAJA with the understanding that his or her parents or guardians are responsible for the legal aspects of his or her attendance, regardless of age. These include but are not limited to:
- Payment of the account
- Damage to property
- Liability through altercation
